My teacher Chris was great. We did really interesting activities during our lessons such as making our own film and interviewing people at the market. It was good fun. I really enjoyed living in Cambridge as there were lots of sights and it is great that people ride around on bikes instead of using their cars.

EC Cambridge School is very nice with graduate personnel, lovely teachers, kind employees and best management of every thing. The school has helped with information on how to obtain a visa, how I can find a job, write a CV and find a university. I will never forget their help and the days I have spent with them.

EC Cambridge, England

Teacher Testimonial
There are lots of reasons why teaching English at EC Cambridge is so enjoyable. I’ve always been interested in languages and how we use them and Cambridge is certainly a beautiful city to live and work in. However, without doubt the best thing about my job as a teacher is meeting so many different students from all over the world.

I find it really rewarding when a new student joins the class and for the first couple of hours they seem slightly nervous. Then they start working with other students on various tasks and they soon realize that everyone is there to learn English together. Before long they are asking questions, joining in and enjoying themselves at the same time. Seeing students of all ages and nationalities making lasting friendships, all with the common goal of improving their English, is a very satisfying part of the job.

Teaching English is such a rewarding experience because you are helping students achieve their goals and aspirations. Many of the students who come to study at EC Cambridge are far away from home and therefore greatly appreciate the warmth and friendliness of the teachers and staff here. I like working at EC Cambridge because the student base is very multicultural and each day is filled with diversity, challenges, new experiences and most importantly, humour! I think for many, the experience of studying at EC Cambridge is not only an opportunity to learn English, but it is a life changing experience.

Working here is very rewarding and I really enjoy being part of a team. Cambridge is a very cosmopolitan city with easy access to London and the sea. I love this job because I am helping others learn as others helped me with my languages. Furthermore, I feel in constant contact with countries around the world.

My tip for learning English? Forget Shakespeare for the moment and stick to the golden rule “K.I.S.S” . Keep it short and simple - that way it’s correct!

Teacher Testimonial
Primarily I enjoy teaching English because I love the richness and complexity of the language. It is also a very rewarding to experience students progressing and achieving their own natural potential.

I like being in an international environment with overseas students from all over the worldwide and sharing different cultural experiences with them.

EC is in a wonderful location in central Cambridge and the working environment in the school is friendly, relaxed, committed and egalitarian. I enjoy being able to instill confidence and motivation in students through creativity and encouragement- by being myself!

My tip for learning English is never to be afraid of making mistakes and try to read something everyday in English, at your level. Immerse yourself in the culture as much as possible outside the classroom and listen to your teacher! Also, try to develop some workable study skills.

I've always believed that the more effort you put into something, the more you get out of it and I think this is totally true when it comes to learning or teaching English. I love trying to create exciting, energetic lessons which encourage my students to respond in an enthusiastic and productive way. In this way they learn and have fun at the same time!

Working for EC enables me to bring my personality and teaching style into the classroom because I know that I'm supported as a teacher by the rest of the staff and the organisation as a whole. At the same time, I'm challenged and encouraged to develop professionally by working closely with my colleagues who are always full of ideas and bring a depth of experience and knowledge. EC Cambridge is a great school with a really friendly atmosphere. The city is natural place to study in as so many other students are around you and there is an atmosphere of learning (and playing too!)
