I have been in Malta for 8 weeks. I would recommend EC Malta as I think it is a very good life experience and the school offers a lot for students. There are many things to do in Malta. You can travel around the island and the nightlife is amazing! The school is great as it looks after the students very well and the programme they offer changes every week. I’m very lucky to have the teachers I do. They do their job very well. I like this kind of course as in the morning I have grammar and in the afternoon we get to read and speak. My favourite place to go in the evenings is Hugo’s! EC Malta has great activities like the Comino by night boat party. During my time in Malta I lived with a host family in Pembroke. The family were very friendly and the house was only 15 minutes away from school. Two months here in Malta has been great but I’d like to visit another EC school elsewhere. I would recommend to future students that after school and during the weekends, that students do a lot of travelling in Malta as well as Gozo. Don’t stay at home in the evenings – go out and meet people from all over the world!

I have been here for 2 months. I like this school and it’s a very good experience! Malta is a very interesting, small and sunny island. I like Malta. It’s my second time here. EC is the best with the best teachers! I like everything that has to do with the teachers! Apart from lessons I like walking along the promenade and EC's Beach Club. If I have free time and spare money, I would come again.

I was here in 2007 for 3 weeks at EC Malta. The school is very efficient and we have a good improvement in our English skills. We decided to come back in 2008 for another stay. The friendly and polite teachers and staff have given us always a helping hand or good advice. You can hang out in a lot of restaurants or bars around the school. You can have a nice walk along the shore line as well. There is also the possibility to discover a lot of heritage sites of all centuries. On a Sunday afternoon it is nice to have a walk through Valletta and visit one of the cafes. We are looking forward to visit EC Malta again next year.

I consider myself to be a person who is always very passionate and enthusiastic about everything I do, especially when doing the things I love - teaching is one of them. Being creative and resourceful helps me strive towards preparing lessons which are stimulating and fun to deliver because I find that when I enjoy teaching, the students usually enjoy learning. I have been working with EC Malta for the past eleven years and I am very proud to have retained my sanity! The main reasons which attracted me to becoming an EFL teacher were the importance and necessity of human interaction, together with the freedom, creativity and spontaneity of the job which has proved to be particularly challenging and stimulating. As a teacher, one does not only impart knowledge but also part of oneself. Thus, I had the chance to share my enthusiasm not only for language, but also for literature, poetry, drama and music which I try to integrate in my lessons in order to provide students with a more holistic and enjoyable education. Standing in front of a class has also helped me understand the importance of trying to be both an animator as well as an instructor because students learn most when they are having fun! Here at EC I have always been provided with the necessary training, support and resources that are required for us teachers to improve our teaching skills, to understand the needs of our students, and to develop our own individual approach to learning. On a personal level, I firmly believe in life-long learning and in seeing everyday as a new challenge and opportunity for growth. Ultimately, being a teacher with EC is all about sharing knowledge, facilitating learning for others and loving what you do!

I have been staying in Malta for about 14 weeks now. I would like to recommend EC Malta to my friends because the school is nice and the teachers are friendly and teach very well. I like the amazing weather in Malta and I liked visiting all the different places. I was very impressed with the architecture of Valletta, Victoria, Mdina and the Three Cities. The classrooms are very clean and bright. They also have the boards which make it more interactive for us to learn. I also liked the mixture between all the different skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. During the evening I like going to Sliema because there are many pubs, and I also like Paceville, especially Hugo’s. My favourite EC activity was the Comino by night boat party. During my time in Malta I stayed with a host family. I would now like to go to EC New York. My recommendations are: to enjoy the lovely weather and the beautiful place in general. Malta is a great place to meet new people. On Sunday afternoons, the best thing I can imagine is to stay at home, lying on your favourite sofa with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate. If I have the opportunity, I will come back to EC Malta.

I think English is a wonderful, rich language. I have always been fascinated by the origins of words and the nuances of the language. I love the opportunity I have to share my love of this language with my students. When I started to teach with EC many moons ago (about 12 years) the school was across the road from my home. It was a small school with maybe 20 classes. It was really lovely, we were like one big family. I realised then that I had found my niche in life...This was where I wanted to be and just what I wanted to do. The school moved to St. Julian’s...it grew, and grew, and grew. I grew with it. I did my best to adapt to all the changes. Hopefully I managed. Today, EC is huge, it is global, and I still love it. It is exciting to be a part of this ever-growing, ever-changing company. A plethora of emotions have accompanied me at EC throughout the years. Both students and colleagues have come and gone, there have been many tears, as well as much laughter and happiness. I have always loved a challenge. Teaching regularly presents me with new challenges which keep me on my toes. Whether a rather weak exam class or a ‘difficult’ student...I relish the chance to overcome whatever challenge comes my way.

Teaching is an extension of who I am, sharing and learning. Malta has a vibrant and colourful culture and diverse student base, so always interesting and challenging. EC's teaching methodology suits my unconventional teaching style. I like to teach people to ask why and challenge them and for them to challenge, grow their English inside themselves. I like to use different forms of teaching tools from video podcasts to newspaper articles, but always with fun. It's a great emotion and we learn more when something is emotional. EC rocks on the rocks!

I am going to stay at EC Malta for 3 month. At the moment I attend a language course and after this I will do an internship. The teachers are very entertaining and you won’t be bored during the lessons. Additionally you get helpful language skills and that is why I would recommend EC Malta. I like the friendly atmosphere, the old busses, the bars and the possibility of doing some sightseeing – and of course the weather! You study with people from all over the world and the cookies at the cafeteria are delicious ;) The courses are interesting and we may organise the discussions. I like best that we have free WiFi in our shared apartment and possibly I will visit EC again in the future.

During your stay you should visit as many places as possible because Malta is gorgeous!

I’m at EC since one month and I would definitely recommend it. The teachers are very good and give us a lot of homework to improve our English. I enjoy the weather in Malta, going to Paceville and that there are so many students. I like the EC teachers and the various activities. In class we deal with all the different parts of English: listening, grammar, reading… My favorite EC-Activity was the Welcome Dinner and maybe I will visit EC again in another country. Enjoy your time at EC Malta and always try to speak in English!

I love teaching English because it gives me the opportunity to use my outgoing character and give rein to my creativity, in a constructive way that benefits both my students and me. Maltese born, I've lived in Sydney, Australia most of my life so it's a real pleasure to be living and teaching English, my first language, in Malta, my mother country. One of the best points about working at EC is the camaraderie in the staff room. We work as a team and are always there to lend each other a hand. At EC, I feel that I'm part of a professional, internationally accredited company. It gives me great pleasure to watch my students progress and receive their positive feedback. It gives me a sense of a job well done.

I took an FCE course from last March to June. It was a new experience because I had never heard about it before I came here. I know this exam isn’t famous at all in my country. However, this course helped me to study harder and I could learn a lot. Firstly, my classmates and teachers were never changed during this course. Therefore we could get to know each other well and bond. Besides, there were a lot of students who really wanted good results so their determination encouraged me to work harder. The teachers, who were professional at teaching this course, taught us patiently and helpfully. What is more, this course was very well-organised and we could learn not only reading and grammar, but also writing and speaking. Personally, the speaking part was the most difficult part for me, because I didn’t have any confidence. Nevertheless, I could feel the improvement of my speaking because of this course and my speaking partner. To conclude, I was grateful to be in this course. Being in FCE was definitely better than being GE for me. Consequently, I really want to recommend to other students to join it, even if they don’t know about this exam. Because I know they will feel satisfaction when they get the result. I’ll never forget about being in this course. I thank my excellent teachers and amazing class mates.

Malta is a beautiful country and EC School here is not too expensive so I chose to come here. I like Malta, the sea and cities are very beautiful, the people are nice and kind. Of course the school is very good, the teachers are nice and very helpful. I really enjoy going to school. I like living here, later I want to come to Malta again. In my residence I have met lots of really nice people. I stay in Carlton residence and I like it because it is very fun. It is a very good place to learn English because I must practice every day. I like to see the sights in Malta with my friends, but I also like school and the teachers. I want to come again to an EC school, but I want to go to one in another country because I would like a new experience. I leave in two months, but I will be very sad to leave.

I have been teaching English for over seven years now and it is a job that I find very challenging. While I only teach part-time, it is certainly not something which begins and ends in the classroom. It unconsciously becomes very much a part of your private life too.A song on the radio, an interesting article in a magazine, a discussion with friends or on the TV all becomes potential material for use in a lesson. Teaching can be highly rewarding as you watch the students’ linguistic skills improve and working in a school like EC where students often return for a further course of studies gives you the opportunity to follow their progress. It’s great to see their satisfaction as they go from strength to strength and know that you have been a part of that achievement. It is impossible to leave out the social element and the friendships I have made at EC are something I will always treasure. Sharing a cup of coffee and a few laughs, discussing lesson plans and teaching experiences are all part and parcel of daily life. It is all these elements that make me one of the lucky ones – someone who enjoys going to work in the morning!!

I’m here for 6 weeks. Now it’s my second week. I would recommend EC Malta to my friends and colleges at work. It’s a good experience to practice English, live in another country and even meet new people from different countries. I like good organized activity lessons, and I really like my teachers David and Desire. My favorite hang out’s are the cinema where you can relax and at the same time practice your English, one of the many restaurants that you’ll find in the area, and even the gym. I’m renting one of EC’s apartments “Roulette”, Good location, conditions, I like it. The internet at times is slow, but it’s good that we can have access to internet even in the evening. In the future there might be a possibility that I will visit EC once again, but this time in another country. I would like to recommend EC School to everyone, because it’s lots of fun and learn English in a fun environment.

I have been in Malta for the past 2 weeks. I would recommend EC Malta for the very good course lessons, teachers, interesting arguments and the school’s friendly atmosphere. Additionally, I love Malta because of its beautiful landscapes, sea and sun. EC Malta is useful as it is an international place where one can meet many people from all across the world. I did not have a specific favourite EC activity, for me the most important thing was speaking to other students. I would definitely come back to EC Malta or another EC centre across the world if I have a chance to do it.

I have been in Malta for the past 2 weeks, however this is my tenth time in EC Malta! I would recommend EC because it is a very well organized school, with good teachers and a kind, efficient staff. It also offers the opportunity to have a free entrance in the beautiful EC beach club which is located in the five star Corinthia Marina Hotel. Malta has an international atmosphere whilst the Maltese people are friendly and full of good values. The sea is beautiful and the weather is very good. My favourite hang out place is a walk in the promenade of Saint Julians. The course helps me to improve my English and it is refreshing since at home I do not speak English. EC Malta has provided me with the opportunity to practice my English with other students. Given the chance, I would definitely come back to EC Malta or any other EC centre across the world.

I became a teacher 5 years ago after a career in business which took me over the world for 30 years. I enjoy the interaction with my students. The job is challenging and extremely rewarding. At EC Malta, I work with a great team of colleagues from all the different departments. There is a positive attitude and we all try to help each other. I enjoy the fact that each day is different and that I come into contact with business students from different parts of the world.

I would recommend EC Malta to people who wish to meet various nationalities and great teachers. Malta is beautiful - for me it is an ‘open air museum’ – it is easy to visit cheap buses. The school is very well organized and the teachers are interesting and helpful. It has very good methodology and ideas. Given the chance, I would definitely come back to EC Malta or any other EC centre across the world.

I’ve been at EC Malta for 3 weeks. I wanted to improve my English to be able to share more during my travels. Malta is the perfect place for this. It’s so easy to meet people from all over the world and talk with them. This little stunning island is itself a great mix of different cultures. Its sunny weather and its seaside were also very important for me. When you arrive at EC school you immediately feel comfortable. The teachers truly pay attention to your expectations and the staff are always available to answer your questions, either at school or at the residence. My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer … I would have!

I came back to my country 5 days ago. But I miss Malta!
Every day I say «Thank you EC school, thank you Malta!

Thank you for knowledge,
Thank you for my new friends,
Thank you for making me open my mind,
Thank you for giving me motivation for future goals,

Thank you so much for twо wonderful month of the most exciting days that I have spent

The General English program was excellent and was the most positive and productive program that I have ever received.

Equally and perhaps more impressive is fantastic academic atmosphere! Unforgettable friendly spirit! Thank you my dear teaches for ability to listen, kindness and patience. You all are first-rate professionals! I am motivated more than ever.

And finally the most important thing what I found in Malta are my new friends from all over the world! Thank you my dear friends! I had a really great time with you. It’s a wonderful feeling! You have really inspired me! Big hug for all of you.

I know, in my last days I have not said good-bye for all teachers, staff and friends! I don't have the strength to say good-bye. It makes me very-very sad. Now I just want to say thank you! I hope to see you one day!

My best wishes
Tatiana
